PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic container which is excellent in strength, and also to provide a method and an apparatus which produce the hermetic containers at a low cost with a less time and labor. SOLUTION: The hermetic container comprises a container main body 2 having side walls 3 each in a specified thickness with its upside opened and a cover part 4 for closing tightly the upside of the container main body 2 with its peripheral edge 5 stuck fast to the upper ends of the side walls of the container main body 2, and a part 6 at the inside of the peripheral edge of the cover part 4 is formed, being lower than the peripheral edge 5.
