PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein not only constitution of parts becomes complicate by providing a hinge mechanism on an intermediate plate but there exists a sewn shape in which the intermediate plate can not be pulled out from a sewn article only by the hinge mechanism and there exists a complicated sewn shape in which contraction can not be inserted and in addition, when a sewn article is pinched between a top plate and a bottom plate, deviation and sliding are easily generated between it and the intermediate plate and accurate pattern sewing is spoiled. SOLUTION: The intermediate plate used for a presser for contraction in a pressing tool for the pattern sewing is formed of a substance with excellent flexibility and a shape. In addition, a substance with a high coefficient of friction is selected so as to make the coefficient of friction of the surface high or the intermediate plate described in the claim 1 with a surface treatment is provided.
