PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently pull out root vegetables and to raise an operation efficiency. SOLUTION: In this root vegetable harvester having a pulling out and transporting apparatus for pulling out and transporting root vegetable crops raised in a field and then transporting the crops upward and a guide apparatus for vertically passing through the stem and leaf parts of the root vegetables pulled out by the pulling out and transporting apparatus and transporting the root vegetables backward while pressing the root vegetable parts from above, the guide apparatus is equipped with a guide plate which presses the root vegetable part from above and is provided with a guide route into which the stem and leaf part is inserted. When the guide plate is passed through the guide route and the stem and leaf part is passed through the guide route, the root vegetables are released from the pulling out and transporting apparatus and dropped on a field.
