PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a recording agent from running short in the middle of printing and decrease a necessary frequency of stock of recording agent cartridges. SOLUTION: A plurality of uniform cartridges 19a and 19b can be mounted in the printer 5. A CPU of a printing process circuit 15 detects a quantity of ink remaining in the cartridges 19a and 19b and continues printing by automatically switching to the other cartridge 19b when one cartridge 19a is running short of ink in the middle of the printing. |
