PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color tone stabilizing method for early stabilizing a color tone even by using prescribed printing sheets when an ink build-up amount is changed from a reference build-up amount on a proof sheet. SOLUTION: The method for early stabilizing the color tone of a printer comprises the steps of regulating ink supply conditions such as a rotation amount of an ink fountain roller, an opening degree of an inking key, a number of accessing times of an ink transfer roller and the like to early stabilize the color tone of a design to be printed on the printing sheet, previously preparing the relationship between a solid ink density on the sheet and the supply conditions by a formula or a table, measuring the solid ink density of the sheet for proofing prior to running-on, and deciding the conditions from the measured data by using the formula or the table from the measured data. |
