PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basket for a bicycle capable of instantaneously fully opening, fully closing, and locking by a simple action in a single operation by repulsion of a bent opening and closing device for preventing snatching when riding on the bicycle, providing storage of odd objects such as rainwear even during parking, and preventing refuse or the like from being put inside, and in such manner, suited of course for children and females but also the future aging society from perspectives of function, operation, and action and contributing to national crime prevention. SOLUTION: Both end parts of the plate-like or bar-like opening and closing device having a spring function with repulsion when bent are bent and attached to an opening of the basket via joints and the basket of the bicycle is opened and closed by changing the direction of bend of the opening and closing device.
