PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more safe and effective electric stimulation device than a conventional one, which precludes a change in electric stimulation strength even if output control is performed in error during resting of electric stimulation. SOLUTION: The electric stimulation device comprises a control part 1 for controlling the device and generating stimulation signals, an output part 2 for outputting the electric stimulation signals generated by the control part 1 after amplified as required, a stimulation electrode 3 for supplying the output of the output part 2 to a living body, an output control volume part 4 for determining the amplification of the electric stimulation signals from the output part 2, a volume position detection part 5 for detecting the position of the output control volume part 4, and an output control motor part 6 controlled by the control part 1 for mechanically operating the output control volume part 4. When the output control volume part 4 is operated during resting, that is detected by the volume position detection part 5 and the output control motor part 6 is controlled by the control part 1, so that the output control volume part 4 is restored to the original position.
