PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem such that an ultrasonic image becomes a mirror image since linear driving never follows a driving motor and radial driving is rotated forward or rotated and driven in linear driving in the case of the radial and linear driving of an ultrasonic probe by the single driving motor. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic device is provided with the ultrasonic probe 11 having an ultrasonic oscillator 12 and transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves. In the ultrasonic diagnostic device, the position of the tip part of the probe 11 is detected by a marker 21 provided at the outer periphery of an outer sheath 21 for putting the probe 11 through in the state of being movable forward and backward and in the case of storing an ultrasonic signal obtained by driving the probe 11 when radial driving for rotating the prove 11 in different directions in the case of its entering and in the case of its moving back in a sound ray memory 37, the writing storage or the reading address of the memory 37 is set in accordance with the driving rotation direction of the probe 11.
