PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper for offset printing that has excellent blistering resistance to bear the high-speed offset printing with improved operability. SOLUTION: In the coated paper for the offset printing that has the pigment- coated layer including a pigment and an adhesive as main components formed, a size press of the film transfer type is used to form a hydrophilic resin layer on the surface of the substrate paper, then, the resultant substrate paper with a unit weight of >=49.0 g/m2 is characteristically coated on the formed hydrophilic resin layer with the pigment-coating layer mainly comprising said pigment and adhesive whereby the objective coated paper for offset printing is provided.
