STEERING ANGLE NEUTRAL POINT DETECTOR FOR STEERING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering angle neutral point detector for a steering device, capable of detecting a steering angle neutral point of the steering device, without being restricted by the running speed of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A speed sensor 5 detects the running speed of the vehicle. A plurality of unit distances are computed in accordance with the detected running speed for dividing a preset running section. A steering angle sensor 3 detects the steering angle of the steering device in unit distances. The steering angle neutral point is detected in accordance with the most frequent value for the steering angles in unit distances in the preset running section.
