PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack device for a showcase with a freely drawable rack by which the rack can be stably held as it is in a relatively simple and compact constitution. SOLUTION: This rack device is applied to a showcase comprising a rack movable forward and backward through slide rails 29 stretched on a pair of a right and a left brackets 28, it is provided with a counter-engagement part 42 provided on a front upper edge of the bracket 28, and inclined forward and downward on the front side to form an inclination surface, and an engagement member 44 installed on a front part lower surface of the rack positioned close to the counter-engagement part between both brackets as the rack is contained, and this engagement member 44 is provided with an installation part fixed to the rack, and an elastic engagement part 48 extended from this installation part toward the bracket 28 to be vertically deformed till a tip 48A is removaly engaged with the counter-engagement part 42.
