PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flower-thinning agent for fruit trees (except apple trees) that inhibits the chemical damage particularly without adverse effect on the environment, can be handled easily with high safety and can manifest stabilized flower-thinning effect with reduced fluctuation in regional, climatic and other differences by using an aliphatic organic acid, an ester thereof or a metallic salt of the aliphatic organic acid (except the calcium salt) as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a flower-thinning agent for the fruit trees that bear their fruits by pollination and is characterized by including an aliphatic organic acid, an ester thereof or a metallic salt thereof (except the calcium salt) as an active ingredient.
