PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm existence or absence of a head, the kind thereof, the residual amount of each ink, or the like by solving the inconvenience in a conventional ink-jet recording device, of the need of driving the recording device and the need of a operation for moving a carriage 2 to the replacement position due to inability of visually confirming existence or absence of the head as it is because the carriage 2 is at the waiting position at the time of non-recording as well as it is covered with exterior covers 5a, 5b. SOLUTION: A light transmitting member 6 is provided in the exterior covers 5a, 5b at a position allowing visual confirmation of a recording head 1 and an ink tank 4 at the time the recording head 1 is at the waiting state position, with the light transmitting member 6 provided in a lens-like shape. |
