PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method of a propylene copolymer having high molding processability and increased melt elasticity without generating fisheyes on a molded article. SOLUTION: The preparation method of a propylene copolymer comprises (1) preparing 50-90 wt.% of a homopolypropylene with a specific MFR or a propylene copolymer with a content of an olefin other than propylene of below 1 wt.% and then (2) preparing 10-50 wt.% of a propylene copolymer with a specific weight average molecular weight and a content of an olefin other than propylene of 1-15 wt.% in the presence of a catalyst comprising (A) a solid catalyst component containing titanium, magnesium, a halogen and an electron donating compound as essential components, (B) an organoaluminium compound and (C) an organosilicon compound.
