METHOD OF MANUFACTURING POROUS PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing a light-weight and high strength porous pipe having a porosity of∞40% and an open-cell ratio of >=50% which is substantially composed of polyvinyl chloride and formed without stretching process. SOLUTION: A resin composition comprising 100 pts.wt. polyvinyl chloride resin having a degree of polymerization of 2,000-5,000, 80-120 pts.wt. plasticizer, and a blowing agent is molded by an extruder equipped with a pipe molding die to produce a porous pipe having a porosity of >= 40% and an open-cell ratio of >=50%.
