AIR FLOATING TYPE BELT CONVEYOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air floating type belt conveyor which can avoid the increase of the frictional resistance by suppressing the contact of a belt side end with a return side trough and ensure the smooth operation of a conveyor by suppressing any abnormal flotation of the belt. SOLUTION: In this air floating type belt conveyor which travels the belt 1 in an air-floating condition by feeding air in spaced between a carrier side trough 2 and the return side trough 3 and the belt 1, respectively, the return side trough 3 has a substantially arc-shape section with smaller curvature than that of the carrier side trough 2.
