PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door device for elevator allowing the door of an elevator car to be transparent without impairing the grade of design. SOLUTION: A motor 17 to open and shut the door 13 of an elevator car is installed on the car 11 beside its doorway, and a link mechanism 18 having a pantograph mechanism 20 is coupled between the motor 17 and the opening side end of the door 13 so that the driving force of the motor 17 is transmitted to the door 13.
