PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the overall image scanning time of an MR imaging instrument by preventing images with useless sizes and useless resolution from being obtained by successively imaging each site in a wide extent in the slicing direction with the size and resolution required for each site. SOLUTION: When parameters are inputted at every slab group by using a display device 23, a keyboard 24, or the like, a computer 16 calculates the table of the parameters, holds the table, and controls image scanning so that the scanning is performed successively in accordance with the parameters.
