PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bonding a conveyor belt which can dispense with an organic solvent and therefore is excellent in aspects of safety and health, and also excellent in workability while imparting a bonding force not inferior to that obtained using an organic solvent and to provide a conveyor belt using the method. SOLUTION: In the method for bonding a conveyor belt, a water-based adhesive mainly composed of a latex is employed. The latex is not particularly limited and there can be exemplified a natural latex, a polychloroprene latex, a styrene-butadiene latex, a styrene-butadiene-vinyl pyridine latex, a water- dispersed polyurethane resin and the like.
