SUBSTANCE: proposed technique for energy conversion depends on mechanical coupling of motor shaft with rotor of at least one electric generator that has n-phase stator winding when part of electrical energy picked off windings is conveyed to user and other part may be converted into other kind of energy in storage device . Novelty is that when power plant is operating into power mains and has at least two generators, one of them being mechanically coupled with motor shaft and having different winding phase number m, power is supplied to user from winding of at least one generator only at rotor speed corresponding to frequency of user's current taken off windings and such speed is stabilized due to connection or disconnection and variation in storage device load simultaneously for all phases of at least one generator connected at the same time to user and/or for separate phases of at least one generator disconnected from user. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of power plant whose motor speed and/or output power is not constant. 7 cl, 1 dwg
