PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a label printer in which the control process can be made smooth when labels are issued sheet by sheet. SOLUTION: After a sheet of label is printed, supply of print data for a new sheet is checked over a predetermined time. When print data for a new sheet is not supplied within the predetermined time, a teat off operation is executed and upon elapsing a predetermined time after ending the teat off operation, a back feed operation is executed.
