PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aromatic polyester resin prefoamed particles capable of readily and efficiently producing foamed molded products which are lightweight and excellent in heat resistance, heat insulation properties, cushioning properties, chemical resistances or the like, and furthermore by improving fusion characteristics of particles at a in-mold foam molding, capable of enhancing an excellent appearance and mechanical strength, and to provide foamed molded products having each of the excellent properties made from the prefoamed particles. SOLUTION: The prefoamed particles are formed of an aromatic polyester based resin containing a unit to be derived from neopentyl glycol, and their crystallization peak temperature is adjusted to 130-136 deg.C. The foamed molded products are produced by in-mold foam molding of the above prefoamed particles.
