PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shrink control agent which is low in cost and in viscosity, does not cause scumming, etc., is excellent in shrink control properties, and can realize good gloss and colorability; a molding resin composition containing the same; and moldings obtained by molding the composition. SOLUTION: A styrene-monomer-containing polymerizable monomer component and a cross-linker in a charge ratio by wt. of the monomer component to the cross-linker of (100/0.001)-(100/0.2) are subjected to bulk polymerization so that the conversion at the completion of the reaction is 20-60%, giving a styrene-monomer-soluble shrink control agent. The agent and a fibrous reinforcement are compounded into an unsaturated polyester resin to give a molding resin composition.
