PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling an inking key utilizing a region areal ratio capable of reducing a printing fault, by early eliminating a color tone deviation of a real production print as compared with prior art even by not a skilled printing technician, and a printer having an inking key controller to be controlled by this method. SOLUTION: The method for controlling an inking key utilizing a region areal ratio comprises the steps of forming a zone areal ratio/inking key opening/density change table of each color from a reference density, and a density change chart obtained by moving and printing by a plurality of the inking keys at a plurality of stages including the reference density position from the plurality of the zones Z-1, Z-2, Z-3 and Z-4 of the plurality of the zone areal ratios/including a plurality of monochromatic targets 22-1R, 22-2R, 22-3R and 22-4R of a plurality of halftone dot mean ratio corresponding to the plurality of the keys before a real production printing; and setting the inking key opening necessary for zero of a density difference from the regional areal ratio, the zone areal ratio and the density difference of the monochromatic target of each monochromatic color of the zone, where a color tone deviation occurs from the table when a color difference from a reference color value of the color measured region of any zone is a prescribed threshold value or more during real production printing. |
