CATALYST FOR ALKYLENE OXIDE ADDITION REACTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for alkylene oxide addition reaction in which the filtering property is remarkably improved while the catalytic activity is maintained equal to or higher than a conventional catalyst, to provide a method for preparing the catalyst, and to provide a method for preparing an alkylene oxide adduct by using the catalyst. SOLUTION: The catalyst contains oxides of at least one kind of metal selected from bivalent metals and has >=85% content of catalyst particles having >=10 μm average particle size (based on the volume). The method for preparing the catalyst and the method for preparing an alkylene oxide adduct by using the aforementioned catalyst are also presented.
