PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify a ball point pen-type writing utensil using various kinds of inks such as can be easily dried, showing the easy separation of pigment from a solvent and tending to be easily clogged due to the inclusion of different kinds of fillers. SOLUTION: This writing utensil has a ball point pen tip fitted at the point of a barrel and an ink storage part housed in the rear part of the barrel and is of such a construction that a spring pressure is applied to the back of a ball at the point so as to allow the ball to come into close contact with the inner edge of a ball holding part at the point of the tip. The tip is structured in such a way that the projecting part of the ball jutting out of the forward end of the tip can recede to almost plunge into the tip by pressing the ball following a writing operation. In addition, a valve chamber, in which a valve body is loosely fitted at the rear end of the tip, is provided and an ink guide hole communicating with the ink storage part is formed at the rear end of the valve chamber. Thus the valve body blocks the guide hole with the tip turned upward and the back flow of the ink is prevented from occurring. |
