PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which can achieve silent operation conforming to the purpose of use thereof. SOLUTION: The sewing machine 1 stores a plurality of MDR adjusting tables having different gains in a ROM 34, and switches its mode by operating a mode change-over switch 14. A control device 20 selects one of the MDR adjusting tables having the gain according to the mode, and carries out feedback control (P control or I control) of a main motor 26 by using the table. Further, the control device 20 limits the maximum speed of the sewing machine 1 according to the mode. It determines the number of driving steps or the driving frequency of STMs 29 and 31 for an embroidering device 6 and a needle adjusting STM 33 in relation to the maximum speed. |
