PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor thermal recording material capable of reducing a manufacturing cost and to provide the multicolor thermal recording material capable of improving a color developing speed by preventing color mixing and enhancing a lifetime of a heating thermal head. SOLUTION: The multicolor thermal recording material 1 comprises first and second heat sensitive layers 2 and 3 for coloring in different colors. The second layer 3 is partly formed on an incapacitating area 5 containing an eraser for incapacitating or dulling the coloring function of the first layer 2 to prevent color mixing due to the first layer 2 in the case of coloring the second layer 3.
