PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety of a brake device for an elevator braking a rotation shaft 21 by force of a spring 26 and releasing a brake by pouring pressurized fluid into a cylinder 28 for retracting a piston 29. SOLUTION: Pressurized fluid to be poured into a cylinder 28 is accumulated in an accumulation means 46 and a pump 43 is intermittently operated to maintain a pressure of the pressurized fluid between an upper limit value and a lower limit value, and a timer means 54 is operated to cut off a pump motor 44 from a electric power source circuit 57 and to shutdown an elevator when an operation time of the pump motor 44 driving the pump 43 exceeds a designated time. |
