Method for printing a document with a number of parts using a number of workstations, each of the workstations having different properties. A divider or work distributor works in conjunction with the workstations to allocate each document part to a workstation with corresponding attributes. Finally all the document parts are recombined to create an finished printed end-product. An Independent claim is made for a device for printing a document with a number of different parts using a number of works stations. Where the maximum number of document parts is matched to the number of available workstations.
