PURPOSE:To obtain images having excellent gradation by providing a control means wherein a threshold meeting an inner state detected with a state monitor means is obtained from a table having developing electric potential, bias electric potential, bias frequency, and bias waveform written therein, and a comparing circuit is informed of this threshold. CONSTITUTION:When a threshold Th of a comparing circuit is inputted at a console panel 48, a control means 47 obtains developing electric potential, bias electric potential, bias frequency, bias waveform, quantity of toner on a developing roll, and distance between a photosensitive body and the developing roll, referring to an image forming section setting table. The comparing circuit 41 is informed of the threshold and a developing potential changing means 43, a bias changing means 44, a developing toner quantity changing means 45, and a distance changing means 46 are informed of obtained values respectively, so as to set a condition where an excellent image can be obtained even with the designated threshold. The control means 47 fetches a signal of a sensor 49, monitors an inner state of an image forming section 42, obtains the threshold Th corresponding to its state referring to the image forming section setting table, and informs the comparing circuit 41 of it. |
