<p>The rotor shafts (2,2') carry paddles (3,3') fitted with axial extensions acting as scoops (4,4',5,5'). They are shaped as epicycloids so that all surfaces are self-cleaning as the paddles and scoops intermesh. Successive scoops (501,502) and a paddle (503) on one shaft (2) form a cell with the scoop (504') on the other shaft (2') from which material is displaced during rotation.</p> |
