It is a frame, in particular a bed frame, whose variation in height is obtained by varying the inclination of legs (4,13). The legs are connected to the frame by means of hinged rods (6,14) with functions of bracings, which can, by means of shoes (12, 15) connected to the top of legs (4,13) slide along the rails (17) integral with the frame. By letting the shoes (12, 15) slide alon the rails (17), the inclination of legs (4, 13) is modified, so having consequently the variation of frame height. With a pair of legs situated at the ends of the frame, which are independent, besides variation of frame height it can be obtained either horizontal lying postures or reclined lying postures of the frame on both directions (Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg positions) The transfer of shoes (12, 15) along the rails (17) is obtained by using normal kinematic mechanism driven by normal actuators <IMAGE>
