Tyre with two aquachannels

A tyre, preferably for use on aircraft, with two aquachannels (14) provides a wide band area (17) in the central portion of the tread for improved wear properties. The aquachannels each comprise from 4.5% to 7% of the tread width and the central tread portion width between the aquachannels is 90-100% of the total width of the tread portions outside of the aquachannels. The tread has a depth of 5.08-12.7 mm and the depth of each aquachannel is 63-83% of the tread depth.
