PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide for fishing rod capable of easily exchanging a fishing line, hardly entering into a fishing line-inserting and withdrawing passage even when the fishing line swings and having no fear to damage the fishing line during its insertion. SOLUTION: This fishing rod guide 7 fixed to a fly rod 6 is formed to have two ring-shaped holding units 9, 9 by spirally winding a wire standing up from guide fixing units 8 and a wire-folding unit 10 between the ring-shaped holding units. A line-inserting and withdrawing passage 11 lies between the ring-shaped holding unit 9 and the wire folding unit 10. The ring-shaped holding unit 9 is constituted by winding at least one or more turns and the successive wire folding unit 10 is shaped in a U-shape or V-shape. The tip 10a of the wire folding unit 10 is to be a line inserting and withdrawing point. A fly line 1 is inserted and removed along the wire folding unit 10.
