METHOD FOR FUSION WELDING ALONG SLIT DRESSING

fusion welding along slit dressing of large thickness parts of different metals and alloys. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of making slit dressing with bevel angle of welded edges of parts; before making slit dressing determining total narrowing of slit width between edges at welding; in depending upon received value while taking into account thickness of welded parts determining bevel angle of welded edges. Due to increased degree of thermic and mechanical action of welding arc upon welded edges possibility of occurring of non-fused spots in welded joint is eliminated. Reduced ratio of joint width and thickness of parts provides enhanced degree of contact strengthening. EFFECT: enhanced strength of welded joint. 1 ex, 1 dwg
