PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stimulating the recombination of a foreign gene in a higher plant such as Oryza sativa. SOLUTION: The method for stimulating the recombination of a foreign gene in a higher plant or a cultured cell of a higher plant comprises transducing RecQ Helicase gene derived from E. coli into the higher plant or the cultured cell of a higher plant.
