PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new animal cell system in which cell death is induced and expressed under specific conditions, a cell death evaluation system using the above cell system, a cell death-suppressing substance found by using the above evaluation system and a medicinal composition for treating by suppression of cell death containing the above cell death suppressing substance. SOLUTION: This cell system derived from animals contains a coexpression system of an amyloidβprecursor protein and a presenilin variant protein.
