PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for thermally decomposing dioxins in ash at a low cost. SOLUTION: The ash containing the dioxins loaded in a treatment chamber 2 of a thermal decomposition treating tank 1 is heated at 350-500 deg.C for 1-10 min. by a heating medium 3 in the atmosphere, and then is discharged to the outside of the tank 1 and finally is quenched.
