PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a checkout counter device capable of securely informing customers that the checkout is suspended at the checkout counter and allowing more articles to be exhibited. SOLUTION: Customer aisles A, B and C are formed between checkout counter devices 2, 3, and 4, and a door 8 is mounted at the end on the entrance side of each aisle A, B and C for opening/closing the entrance of the aisles A, B and C.
