PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rolling equipment which realizes high productivity, energy saving, low rolling cost and effect that the length of the building of a rolling plant is shortened because of the small installation area of the equipment which are possessed by conventional technology and also is excellent in the unit consumption of roll of the horizontal rolls of a universal finishing mill and a method for rolling using the equipment. SOLUTION: In this equipment for rolling wide flange shapes, a universal roughing mill having an X-caliber, an edger mill and a universal finishing mill having an H-caliber are arranged adjacent to each other and the rolling mill group is made so as to be utilized for reducing the area of a material to be rolled. This equipment for rolling the wide flange shapes is characterized in that the roll width of the horizontal rolls of the universal finishing mill is variable and this rolling method is performed using the rolling equipment. |
