PURPOSE: A backing flux tile for welding works is provided to prevent overflow of molten flux when flux is welded in a posture of vertical-up by using flux cored wire electrode and restrain spatter from being stuck on back-bead during welding operation using high voltage current. CONSTITUTION: In the backing flux tile for welding works where on the surface of an adhesive tape(5) of which middle part is naked and both sides are covered with releasing paper(4), a support slag is formed in the upper middle part of a slag pocket(6). The slag is composed of 38-75wt.% of Al2O3, 20-48wt.% of SiO2, 10wt.% or less of MgO, and impurities such as Fe2O3, CaO, Na2O, and K2O so that the melting point of the slag is adjusted in a temperature range of 1500 to 1850deg.C.
