PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact type drilling spindle unit minimized as a whole by including an oil supply mechanism of cutting oil and a rotary drive mechanism for a spindle. SOLUTION: In this compact type drilling spindle unit 40 in which the spindle 42 with a drilling tool mounted at a tip is rotatably mounted within an housing to be a casing, a cylindrical magnet rotor 51 is fixed to an outer periphery of the spindle 42, a winding coil 52 is mounted at the inside of the housing along the outer periphery of the magnet rotor 51, a spindle rotating motor 50 is formed and the spindle 42 is rotated.
