METHOD FOR DETERMINING DNA AFFINITY OF DNA BINDING PROTEIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining a DNA binding protein contained in a biological sample. SOLUTION: This method is a method for determining the DNA binding protein interacting with a DNA contained in the biological sample with higher sensitivity than electrophoretic mobility shift assay(EMSA) without using a radioisotope and comprises treating the sample to obtain a liquid examined on the DNA binding protein, incubating the liquid containing the DNA binding protein together with the DNA containing a binding site capable of specifically combining with the DNA binding protein to specifically combine the DNA binding protein with the DNA, separating the DNA bearing the combined DNA binding protein from other DNAs and proteins contained in the liquid and detecting the separated DNA binding protein by the use of an examination giving a first numerical result proportional to the amount of the separated DNA binding protein.
