PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for effectively performing the decoloration treatment of colored wastewater obtained by biologically treating wastewater containing a BOD or n-hexane component in high concentration such as pig farming wastewater, food industry wastewater or the like. SOLUTION: In such a case that a color causing substance in biologically treated wastewater is separated and decomposed by electrolysis, a carbon/iron rod obtained by sintering carbon and iron is used as an anode and a stainless steel, titanium or tantalum rod is used as an anode to simply and certainly perform electrolytic treatment with good current efficiency.
