PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for the oral cavity stably formulated with a pyrithione for a long period of time, excellently preventing formation of dental plaque being a causative agent of periodontal diseases such as decayed tooth, gingivitis, pyrorrhea alveolaris, etc. SOLUTION: This composition for the oral cavity comprises a pyrithione, an antioxidant and an antimicrobial germicide except the pyrithione.
