摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel hydroxygallium phthaloeyanin crystal useful as an organic photoconductor to be used for an electrophotographic photoreceptor which excels in sensitivity in the visible region to the near infrared region and electrostatic stability, a method of manufacturing the same, and an electrophotographic photoreceptor using the same. SOLUTION: The hydroxygallium phthalocyanin crystal exhibits major diffraction peaks at the Bragg angles of (2θ+0.2 deg.) of 7.9 deg., 8.3 deg., 14.6 deg., 17.3 deg., 22.8 deg., 24.0 deg., 26.0 deg., and 28.9 deg. in the X-ray diffraction spectrum by the CuKα-rays. The method of manufacturing the above hydroxygallium phthalocyanin comprises conducting crystal transformation treatment with metastable crystalline isopropanol. The electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises the above hydroxygallium phthalocyanin in a photosensitive layer.
