METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CARBON BLACK, CARBON BLACK, RUBBER COMPOSITION AND VULCANIZED RUBBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing carbon black which retains the rubber properties of a vulcanized rubber and the reinforcing effect of carbon black and, in addition, lowers the loss tangent (tanδ) at 60 deg.C which is an index of rolling resistance at a remarkable reduction ratio, carbon black to be obtained by this method, and a rubber composition containing the same. SOLUTION: The carbon black is manufactured by a method of manufacturing carbon black comprising a step of subjecting raw carbon black to heat treatment in the co-existence of at least one type of a rubber compounding component to be selected from a rubber and a vulcanization auxiliary in a nonoxidative atmosphere at 300 deg.C to 1,500 deg.C for 30 seconds or more.
