PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a template for centering a guider rail of an elevator not only usable in common in each field installing the elevator but also easy in mounting further with a structure simple at a low cost. SOLUTION: This template related to this invention makes a landing side member 25 serve as a position reference in a longitudinal direction relating to a hoist way 1, also a first rail gage 34 supported by a guide rail CG for a car and a second rail gage 37 supported to a guide rail WG for a balance weight are positioned in a longitudinal direction by a first/second positioning member 35, 38. Thereafter, a hob weight is suspended coaxially to a rail core of each guide rail determined by each rail gage. Centering of each guide rail is performed by using the suspended hob weight.
