PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powered headrest device capable of protecting a drive mechanism from the external force applied to a back seat while minimizing the increase of the number of parts. SOLUTION: The powered headrest device 30 holds a pillar 32 supporting a headrest 31 detachably with a slider 37 of a drive mechanism 33 and drives the pillar 32 to be inserted into/taken out of a seat 20 on which the headrest 31 is mounted. The drive mechanism 33 is attached to a fixing frame 26 inside the seat 20 by an attaching mechanism 40 rotatably in the direction of the backrest. Therefore, when the headrest 31 is detached from the seat 20, the drive mechanism 33 can be rotated in the direction of the backrest from the fixing frame 26 inside the seat 20, so that if the external force is applied to the drive mechanism 33 from the backseat of the seat 20, the drive mechanism 33 can be rotated in the direction of the backrest accordingly. Therefore, the drive mechanism 33 can be protected from the external force applied to the backseat while minimizing the increase of the number of parts.
